About the coaching staff​

Your Tucson High Girls' Basketball coaching staff has well over 30

years coaching experience between them. The passion and

knowledge amongst the coaching staff is second to none. The

pride and joy they receive from helping guide and watch the

growth of all the young ladies that come through the program

on and off the court is indescribable. 




The Coaches Biographies

Varsity Head Coach Annette Gutierrez:

Coach G began her coaching career back in 1992-1993 at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic school at the junior high level. She then moved to Salpointe Catholic high school to coach the Freshman in 1994-1995. She was quickly promoted to the Varsity coaching position at Salpointe from 1995-1997. Coach G then took a position as an assistant coach at Pima Community College from 2000-2002 with coach Greta Naranjo. She then took time off from coaching to be with her family, and returned to coaching in 2012 here at Tucson High school as the Varsity coach. She has remained here, and she is heading into her 8th year as the Varsity coach. Over these past 7 seasons she has had 6 State appearances, 5 Conference championships, and an overall record of 140-32. Giving Coach G a total of 19 years coaching experience.

Not only has Coach G been a great coach, but she was also a great player. She is a Tucson native and played at Salpointe Catholic from 1983-1987. She went on to begin her college career at Central Arizona Junior College from 1988-1989, where her team ended up winning the NJCAA National Championship in 1989. She then continued her playing career at Northeast Louisiana University (AKA University of Louisiana Monroe). For all of her hard work she was inducted into the Salpointe Catholic High School Hall of Fame in 1994.

JV Coach Greta Naranjo:


Coach Greta began her coaching career back in 1989 at the junior high level at Amphi junior high school until 1991. She then began coaching at CDO high school from 1991-1996 as the Varsity coach. Coach Greta then jumped to the Junior College ranks where she coached at Pima Community College from 1997-2010. Once coach Greta left Pima community college she did some assisting at the Varsity level at Ironwood Ridge high school. She then accepted a position as a JV coach at Sunnyside high school from 2011-2012. She then moved on to be the assistant varsity coach at Tucson High school in 2012. Coach Greta became the official JV coach in 2013; she has remained at Tucson high since. Giving coach Greta a total of 30 years of coaching experience.

Coach Greta was also a great basketball player. She was born and raised in McNary, AZ where she played for Blue Ridge high school from 1981-1985. During her freshman season in 1981-1982, Coach Greta's team won the State Championship.  Upon graduating from Blue Ridge she went on to play for Central Arizona Community College from 1985-1987. Coach Greta then continued her college career at the University of Arizona from 1987-1989.

Freshman Coach Felicia "Fee" Greenhouse:

Coach Fee began her coaching career back in 2003 as a volunteer coach for her sisters AAU team the Tucson Heat until she left to continue her playing career in 2005. Coach Fee then began coaching as a JV coach at Sunnyside high school from 2007-2011. She then took over as the Varsity coach from 2011-2014. Coach Fee then decided to join Coach G & Coach Greta at Tucson high school in 2014 as the Freshman coach where she has remained until today. Also, during the 2014 AAU season, she helped coach the Tucson Road runners 12U team. Coach Fee has also been on the coaching staff with Blair Charity Group from 2010-2018. Giving Coach Fee a total of 14 years coaching experience.

Coach Fee was also a great player. She is a Tucson native that played for Desert View high school from 1997-2001. After graduating she went on to play at Pima Community College from 2001-2004 for both Coach Greta & Coach G. She then continued her playing career at St. Gregory's University in Shawnee, OK from 2004-2005. Coach Fee then returned home to Tucson, AZ where she began playing for the Semi-Pro team, Las Tucson Sol. She remained on the team from 2011-2017, where they won numerous region and international championships. 


Coach Greta sums it up best for all three of the coaches outlooks on why they coach when she said "I want to teach, motivate, and inspire athletes to achieve all their goals and aspirations in basketball and in life".
